A couple months ago I had the opportunity to go to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic for a corporate event and I got to take some dreamy couples photos on the beach! We started shooting right before sunset and got the dreamiest lighting!

I actually lived in the Dominican Republic for a couples months right out of high school. I worked for a non-profit organization teaching little kids english on the north side of the island. Every month we got to go on a trip and explore the island. We were staying in an airbnb on the north-east side of the island and had left to go to dinner. When we got back our entire place was in shambles; They had taken all of our laptops and electronics and all of my camera gear was missing. I was absolutely DEVASTATED. And to top it all off a couple days prior my phone randomly blew up due to a power surge.

I still enjoyed my time teaching in the Dominican Republic and I absolutely LOVED my kids! Even with all of my gear being stolen the DR still holds a special place in my heart.

When I got invited on this trip I was so excited to be able to bring my camera and get to capture the images that I never got the chance to take while I was there. It was very healing for me to be able to take these couple photos on the beach in Punta Cana. Here are some of my favorites 🙂
